Ulva is the perfect destination for a day out, whether you are staying on the Isle of Mull or the mainland near Oban. From the ferry ride across, to the freedom of woodland, shore and moorland to explore, good food in the Boathouse and walks to suit all ages, there is plenty to occupy visitors whatever their age.
Sheila’s Cottage: The display in Sheila’s cottage, close to the ferry slipway, provides an insight into life on the island in the past.
Walks: there are a series of way-marked walks starting from the ferry. These range from a short circuit round the farm on tracks suitable for off-road buggies, to longer walks through the woodland, along the shore and to the highest point of the island.
Refreshments: The boathouse serves lunches, snacks, drinks, and home baking from April through till October. Seating is available inside and out.
Public Toilets: There are toilets close to the ferry on the Mull side.
Whatever the weather, it is always worth coming well prepared to get the most out of your day.
